What the app does with photos

When you take or choose a photo of a homework page, it is sent through our server to Anthropic, which reads the page and writes the practice problems. Encorn asks for your consent before the first photo. Our server does not store the photo. Cover your child's name before taking the photo.

What is stored

Children's first names, classes, sheets and progress are kept on your device and in your private iCloud account. We cannot read them.

What our server keeps

An anonymous device code and a count of pages used per day, to apply usage limits. Nothing else.

What we do not do

No account, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no selling of data.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple.

Deleting your data

Settings, Delete all data removes everything from your device and your iCloud.

Children

Encorn is meant to be used by parents, not by children on their own.
